January 30

 I finished the assignment that we started yesterday which I was absent for. I learned about how the green light symbolized hope and confidence for Gatspy. I liked this assignment because I enjoy being able to move at my own pace and research answers. I feel better today than my last few days because I have a lot more energy and was able to focus.

      The older I got, the more I realized that heartbreak never goes away. I also learned that heartbreak can be forgotten. It hurt the most when I thought about it, but when I didn’t I barely noticed it. I learned that in order to not feel heartbreak, you have to move one and try your best to forget it and have fun in life. I might have a broken heart, but I won’t sulk in my bedroom to feel it.

 Today we annotated two new poems by Langton Hughes. I learned about how Forsyth County felt about Black pepper in the 1980s. I enjoy class discussions like this then later doing the questions on what we read. I felt better today than I have all week.
